Oh, how I love Spring! It has always been my favorite season. We celebrate so many events in our home during these three months, including birthdays, anniversaries and Easter. We have so many reasons to greet this season with arms wide open.
You see, for me, Spring is a time for rebirth, new beginnings, a fresh start and starting over. These sentiments inspired me to design this sweet and simple Spring Sampler.
This sampler is the perfect size for anyone who wants a quick project and simple pop of color. I designed this sampler using all DMC floss and really wanted a soft color palette, so yellow and purples were a must.
Spring is also a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can be; a rebirth of our spirit. In this little sampler I knew I wanted to create a disproportionate scale between the flowers and the house. Why do we as stitchers like such an exaggeration? I think, for me, I love the beautiful blend of whimsy and primitive.
