This miniature sampler found its way to me while shopping at an antique show. The owner was very well versed in antique samplers but sadly, did not have any information about Caroline Carter. Although I do not have any history of Caroline, I can see that she was a skilled needleworker. Clarissa's Garden Sampler is another one of my reimagined samplers. This sampler is such a joy to stitch and is the perfect size for a weekend project. This antique sampler was stitched by a girl named Clarissa Burnett. What caught my attention to this sampler was the beautiful cursive font. These letters were perfectly stitched! I have recently started reproducing antique samplers. I love the idea of preserving beautiful needlework and sometimes "reimagining" these masterpieces. When I started reproducing samplers, I realized not all samplers have aged as well as others.
